The Telecom Coordinator role is to support the Telecom Procurement related services throughout the enterprise as well as backup for the IT Procurement Specialist. This includes planning, developing and maintaining the associated invoices, service-level agreements and internal policy/procedures. The Company’s Telecom Procurement Specialist would be responsible for the following:


Job Responsibilities:

  • Administration:
  • Procurement of telecommunication equipment
  • Backup for IT Procurement Specialist
  • Reconciling telecom invoices, including local and long distance services.
  • Responsible for accurate inventory of all voice/data lines, equipment and maintaining up-to-date documentation
  • Working with the procurement and telecom specialists in support of all related hardware and software purchases
  • Provide monthly statistical reports
  • Update telephone directory
  • Coordinate installation of telecom and IT equipment to ensure client satisfaction
  • Negotiate with suppliers
  • Control inventory
  • Keep accurate records of equipment

Job Requirements:

  • Business Skills: 2 to 5 years experience supporting Information Technology environments
  • 2 -4 years of office administration
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • People Skills: Must be able to work calmly and professionally with others while working in a technically challenging environment
  • Technical Skills: Oracle Purchasing and Inventory Control, Microsoft Excel
  • Non Technical Skills: Must have exceptional customer service and time management skills. Strong negotiation, planning and purchasing skills are essential.
